Tourist Visa
- Passport: Original Passport with a validity of more than six months and minimum after the intended date of departure and two blank pages for visa stamp. Attach all your old passports (if any).
- Malawi Visa Application Form: Two visa application forms to be duly filled and signed by the applicant. (Photocopy can be used)
- Photo Specification: Two recent passport sized colored photographs on white background with 80% face coverage on a Matt or Semi-Matt finished paper (35mm x 45mm).
- Please note: Photograph should not be more than 3 months old, scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas.
- Covering Letter: Covering Letter is required from the applicant on plain paper, stating his name, designation, passport number, purpose, duration of visit. The letter should be addressed to: The Visa Officer, Malawi High Commission, New Delhi.
- Forwarding Letter: A Forwarding Letter is required from the applicant’s company/organization on letter head pad, stating his name, designation, passport number, purpose, duration of visit. The letter should be addressed to: The Visa Officer, Malawi High Commission, New Delhi.
- Financials: Personal bank statement for the last six months.
- Proof of Accommodation: Hotel confirmation.
- Ticket: Confirmed return Air Ticket.
- Medical: A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from travelers.
Business Visa Requirements:

- Invitation Letter: Invitation Letter from Malawi host / inviting Company on its letter head stating the purpose of travel, duration of stay along with the invitee’s ID copy and Resident copy.
- Financials: Personal and Company bank statement for the last six months.
- Proof of Accommodation: Hotel confirmation.
- Ticket: Confirmed return Air Ticket.
- Medical: A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from travelers.
- Visa fee: BDT 3100 for tourist & Business + Travel Team Ltd. Service Charge for Logistics support.
- Lead Time for visa in embassy is 7 working days + 6 working days for Passport to & fro.
- Note: Embassy will issue a Travel document, which applicant needs to produce in Malawi then he will get stamped in passport. The cost will be approx. 150 USD for that.
